Just Relax......okay maybe I will for just a while.

It was back in May 2008 when I really became OCD about conceiving. I bought books, fertility monitors, would stress when my husband went to bed early on an important BD night, stopped drinking caffeine, etc. etc. I guess this really came from thinking I was doing something wrong and I wanted to fix it. If you are TTC, then you also probably get frustrated when people say "Just relax, it will happen." And in my mind I'm thinking it will probably never happen. Well I gave myself a reality check this week after an extremely depressing prior week. I was not ovulating and did have PCOS and didn't know until August. So really, it's been 2 whole months and one of those was spent doing further tests. We are on a path of fixing problem #1- Ovulation.

Clomid at 50 mg on day 5-9 didn't work the first month we tried it and I still didn't ovulate. Now we are on to 100mg of Clomid and I'm hopeful it will work. If not, my plan is another month of Clomid at 150mg and if it doesn't work, we'll need to move on. But I really can't stress too much, we are only 2 MONTHS into fixing the problem. I've already spent hours looking up fertility centers and reading other peoples blogs about IVF. My job right now is to focus on being healthy which for me is dieting and exercise and reducing stress so I can be as healthy as possible if and when this little belly bean comes about! I do think knowledge is power and I like to educate myself on trying to conceive, but it has gotten a bit ridiculous.

A cool blog I have been reading is http://www.infertilityblog.blogspot.com/ where a doctor answers questions about infertility.
